Happy New Year 2026

Happy new quarter century! 2025 was a pivotal year for CoFound:

9 investments. Led 5 pre-seeds, 2 seed co-invests, and 2 follow-ons across vertical AI, robotics, energy, cybersecurity, insurance, and healthcare. Increasing focus at the intersection of multidisciplinary technology and esoteric markets.
Founder wins. Portfolio now at 40 active companies, with 12 up-rounds in 2025, including another unicorn crowned.
Fund II launched. Grateful to be entrusted by top institutions, families, and angels. [Link]
First AGM. Shared our Fund II framework for taking deliberate early-stage risk in an era of capital abundance and market efficiency.
New brand launch. Long-overdue refresh across our website, blog and socials with plans to write and publish more reflections and founder playbooks this year.
Community. Hosted 14 events and workshops for founders, GPs and LPs across the US.

On a personal note, I’d be remiss not to share that I raised a pre-seed round as a first-time father. Please meet our daughter, Nara Li Wan. We’re in that wonderful interlude where she’s sleeping well and not yet mobile.

There’s nothing like the smile of a baby girl to remind me that time is the only truly scarce resource. With all the joy and chaos a newborn brings, my New Year’s resolution is to bring greater focus and presence to everything I do.
